There are particular moments in all of our lives which will have a special significance for us: the celebration of a wedding; the christening of a child; or a funeral to mark and give thanks for a loved one’s life.
The Church in Wales would love to help and support you through these key times, or ‘Life Events’ as we call them. We have a wealth of experience guiding and supporting people through some of the happiest, and sometimes the most difficult, times in their lives.

The following pages provide lots of useful information on weddings, christenings (also commonly known as ‘baptism’) and funerals, but please also be encouraged to get in touch with one of our churches who will be able to talk with you about ways in which we can help at this time.
Weddings and Blessings
We believe marriage is a gift from God and that getting married is a beautiful, personal and spiritual commitment. We would love to help you make your wedding day, or blessing of a marriage, as memorable as possible.
Christenings (Baptisms)
The Church in Wales believes that children are a precious gift from God. Your child is special, and we hope that their christening, or baptism as it’s sometimes called, will prove to be the start of an amazing journey with him.
Funerals
The Church in Wales is here to help and support you, not only in planning the funeral service itself, but for as long as you need us afterwards.
